The A&E 2021 Summer Trips (Part 2-ish)
We decided, that the rise in summer temperatures and the many new forest fires with the smoke that they produced would not slow us down seeing sites. So we thought... A trip to see Mount Baldy and Riding Mountain National Park, and the many sights they had to offer would be a good start. The trip would be broken into two days, with the second day having us see the Devil's Punch Bowl in Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
A great plan that kind of fell apart. We ended up seeing Mount Baldy in Duck Mountain Provincial Park from the lookout tower. Then we thought we would visit with some relatives in Wasagaming in Riding Mountain National Park. We ended up spending the day chatting and catching up. The then went to Brandon to get a good night sleep and head out at first light.
The next morning we left Brandon to go on the Hike in Spruce Wood's. But the air was thick with smoke and the new forecast was for 32 degrees. So we called off the trip and decide to drive back to Winnipeg.

The list of the sites we saw...
- Mount Baldy Lookout Tower - Duck Mountain Provincial Park
- Husky the Muskie - Kenora Ontario {this was from a previous weeks trip to our cottage in Ontario}
