The A&E 2020 Summer Trips (Part 8)
Onward and upward, we are now going to Northern Manitoba {at least north from our perspective}. By far this was our longest trip, coming in at 1,800 Kilometers. We decided to visit our friend in Flin Flon and take in the sites along the way. Since Elizabeth and I had never been in the area we were surprised with beauty of the area. Baker Narrows was a picturesque with the lakes and cabins. We will definitely come back in the future to take in the area and see the sites once the pandemic is over.
As well the Riding Mountain Park area was stunning, it was a shame that there was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with funnel clouds spotted, along the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border otherwise we would have had some time to see a tiny bit of the area. Next time...
We wanted to go to Bill's Sticky Fingers Restaurant in Portage la Prairie for a bite to eat before we drove home, but it had a fire and was being renovated. So, we went down the block to Over the Coals Restaurant and had some great Chicken Souvlaki with Lemon Potatoes.
